WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BOXING?
I love hitting people, I love getting into the ring and boxing, the adrenaline rush is incredible. The speed at which I have to react, I really like getting into a scrap.
WHATS THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU COULD GIVE TO A YOUNG, ASPIRING BOXER?
I feel like now, it is too easy for people to give up, to walk away whenever things get tough. The best piece of advice I could give is don’t give up. You have to fight! There will be times when you want to quit, when you want to get away, but you have to push through that.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Obviously fighting on the tele in front of big crowds is amazing but I have one achievement which sticks out in my mind and not many people will know this one, but when I was just a young boxer, before I became professional, I was scheduled in for 2 fights on the same day. It was a testing day on my stamina, I had never done two actual fights on the same day before, but I won both, knocking both the opponents out. That was my biggest achievement I think.
WHAT IS YOU OVERAL GOAL WITHIN BOXING AND YOUR CAREER?
Within Boxing, I want to be able to tour the world. I want to fight on the biggest stage, and fight for titles. My biggest goal however, is taking a young boxer under my wing and training him up from scratch. I love giving back to the community, and I feel like this would be the perfect way for me. I currently train with the young guys and girls in my gym to help them learn, not just boxing but to be respectful. I have also learnt so much from my coach, Hudge, who is one of the most influential people I know.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING TO DO OUTSIDE THE BOXING RING?
When I’m not training, I love playing Pokémon Go at the moment. It takes me back to my youth.
